Happy New Year, the time has finally come! This is the announcement for the full 2025 Lighthouse Explorers group trip Spring/Summer season. If you’re looking for a time to conduct your first ever lighthouse visit, perhaps this is the time! If you’re a seasoned lighthouse veteran, then this is an amazing time to meet more likeminded individuals. It’s taken a lot of time to decide upon a set of lighthouses which are spread out nicely over England and Wales, but finally the list is complete.
This year, we will be heading to…
Smeaton’s Tower ~ 12th April 2025
Eddystone Rock Lighthouse (by private charter boat!) ~ 13th April 2025
South Foreland Lighthouse ~ 4th May 2025
Point of Ayr Lighthouse ~ 1st June 2025
Southwold Lighthouse ~ 28th June 2025
Spurn Head Lighthouse ~ 20th July 2025
Tynemouth Lighthouse ~ 17th August 2025

When I first started visiting lighthouses by myself in 2019, I dreamed of bringing more people along with me. These trips brought me so much joy, and I thought there were probably more people who would also love to take part.
In 2024, I conducted three group trips to visit lighthouses. Coincidentally, there were two lighthouses on every trip! The new working lighthouse, and it’s old abandoned counterpart. The first of these trips was to the Belle Tout and Beachy Head lighthouses. Then it was the Dungeness lighthouses, followed by Nash Point in Wales.
I’m excited to see where 2025 takes Lighthouse Explorers! Thank you for coming along for the journey.
If you’re interested in following along on social media, I have TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube pages, which I try to keep up-to-date with all of my lighthouse-y content!
